First snow in Tokyo this winter and not just any snow. It’s pouring down like crazy.
I’ve always liked storms of any kind and snow storms are no exception. I went out and took this image outside my apartment in the Azabu Juban district of Tokyo.

Snow in Tokyo – Azabu Juban
It typically snow 2-4 times in Tokyo each winter and this is one of the heavier snow storms I’ve experienced here.
Between October 1st and October 10th a huge birthday party will take place in Hanoi as Hanoi or Thang Long as it was called when it was established has it’s 1,000 year birthday. Most streets in the city center and close to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum will be closed for traffic and there will be non-stop party, performances and fireworks for ten full days.
In short, a huge party and chaos in the traffic
I’ve included an image of Hanoi from my balcony. Is it the calm before the storm?

Hanoi Just Before The Birthday Party Starts
The lake with the small boats is called Truc Bach lake and this is the lake where senator John McCain was shot down during the Vietnam war. The lake in the distance is the East West Lake or Tay Ho in Vietnamese.
Coming home from work, just a couple of minutes from my home i noticed this hot air balloon.
I quickly went home, fetched the camera and quickly walked back to the balloon. Of course i forgot take a memory card so i had to go home again (very, very annoying). Nearly running i got back in time to take this photo hand held at 70mm.

Hot Air Balloon Pictures
The balloon is reflected in Truc Back lake which is near central Hanoi.
Another old image i “dug up” when organizing my old images.
My mothers English Springer Spaniel likes to play in the snow as should be obvious from this image. I pressed the shutter when she looked up at me after rolling in the snow and it looks like she’s thinking “What the heck are you looking at?”

English Springer Spaniel Playing in the snow
The dog is black and white and the background contains only snow so it looks like the image is in Black and White. The image is taken in Piteå in northern Sweden, just 1.5 hours drive from the arctic circle.
The name of the “star” in this image is “Maja” and she is now 9 years old (4 years when i took the image).

I’ve taken some time to organize my images lately and found this image i took a couple of years ago when i lived in Guangzhou in southern China.
I went out for some street photography and not far from my home i looked up and saw this window cleaner hanging on a thin rope and stretching all he could to reach the window.
If someone asked me to do it i would “strongly” object
