Photography: Getting Started in Stock Photography – Part 2: Demo
In this video I’ll show you practical examples how to easily determine supply and demand for stock photography to help you identify profitable niches for your stock photography.
I recommend you watch Getting Started in Stock Photography Part 1 before watching this video.
Note: If you find several niches with the same or similar score you should pick the niche with the highest number of downloads (or searches if you can find this information).
I use a modified formula compared to the formula used in the video that also takes download/search volume into account. This formula is part of a paid product I sell so I can’t reveal it to the public. Hope you understand…
Please comment what you think about video

Thanks for the great video.
Ive made just my own research by this method. I have numbers between 2-85…
Should i pick niche with a low competition, but also with a very low search results (max 200)?
Hi Ronalds,
Thanks for your nice comment and very valuable question.
The formula i use in “real life” is a slightly modified version of the one i mention in the video. I can’t reveal exactly how my own formula looks because it’s part of a paid product i sell to stock photographers but I can give you a general idea how it works.
Provided the score you calculate is the same or similar for two different niches you should pick the niche with the highest number of downloads or the highest number of searches if you can find that information.
I should have mentioned this in the video when I recorded it but that is too late now. Instead I will mention it in the blogpost.
